Friendly energetic staff who are eager to try and assist. But having worked in a demanding inventory environment, I feel that more training of staff in how to cross reference information between different makes and models for clientelle would be extremely helpful.
My heart broke this morning, the following is an excerpt from an article regarding our Prime Minister’s trip to try and make better relations between ourselves and India. It is a brutal reminder of how privileged we are here in a ‘first world’ country, where we have imports from all over the world – a world literally dying to give us our day to day wants and needs.
The saddest part about this entire situation, is that this article is more concerned with how he tried to reach out to their culture and failed miserably with his choice of clothes.
Peas and beans
Trudeau hoped to persuade India to lower its recently imposed tariffs on Canadian dried peas, beans and chickpeas.
That was never going to happen, and the Canadian side probably knew that. The green in India’s flag is for agriculture. The main occupation is farmer.
Trade negotiators think in terms of rules; Modi thinks of his commitments to the people who elected him, and knows he leads India because hundreds of millions of poor farmers believe his party cares about them.
It is a horrible (and horribly underreported) fact that tens of thousands of Indian farmers have taken their own lives in recent years by drinking pesticides because they can no longer make ends meet.
There is no free or fair trade in agriculture. Developed countries demand market access, then use subsidized, mechanized farming to steamroll poor farmers.
Perhaps one day the West will ask if it really wants to keep winning this way. But until then we must judge the mission on tariffs by the objective it set itself: No real progress.

This used to be the best Little Caesar’s, and now sadly is one of the only two left in Kelowna. My boyfriend and I have been ordering crazy bread every couple of months or so over the last three years, each experience leaving us wanting more. The last two times however, there was no hot and ready, and when we visited two days ago, there was once again no hot and ready, and it looked understaffed. It then took 20 minutes for us to get crazy bread, and when we opened it up, it was a greasy mash of cheese and butter. I do hope that management figures out that this will never do, otherwise we’ll be knocking this off our list of places to go.

Stepped into a well organized, well priced heaven, greeted by a kind, friendly gentleman who instantly made this place feel like home.
I went and got one with my gf, just the trial, we came back within the trial period but they FORCED us to continue paying saying it wasn’t a 10 day trial, just a 3, even though it clearly said it everywhere, and the girl who PROMISED US that she would be able to cancel it for us if we had any problems said she had never said that….the girl with black short cropped hair and face piercings..anyways they told me to call head office there was nothing they could do, so I called head office and couldn’t get through, so eventually when things got tough, I stopped paying them, left them in a bank account with no money and finally they called me from head office, I told them what happened, told them to look at how many times I had been there (as they scan your card) and she apologized profusely and stopped the contract. I never got back any of that money.
Charming cafe atmosphere that immediately transports you back in time. For the full experience, order a beverage from the barista, step right through the gold gates, and to the timing of the music browse through the gems of books collected from all over the world. From comic books to pinup posters, war novels to mystery, this unique location provides a memorable experience that leaves you wanting more.
Stayed overnight on business, staff extremely friendly, everything clean though night manager felt the need to throw his weight around. I visited some friends in a hotel room two floors up, and one of my friends has a hearing problem so he talks quite loud. They phoned the room, to which my friend answered, and as you could hear the lisp in his voice, he backed down immediately, but not 3 minutes later, we heard banging on the door, and my friend was rudely chewed out for being loud, this altercation once again ending with him taking it back and leaving. I left immediately following, as did another lady who was with me, who proceeded to have to listen all night to a couple slam the wall next to her. Later that night, a note was slipped under the door stating my friend was to pay for all rooms that had disturbed sleep! The next day, speaking with the day manager, nothing came of it, so the stress put forward by idle threats was unneeded.
Always friendly staff no matter the time of day or night. With clean, spacious bathrooms, a chill space to rest, a wide selection of snacks and actual food items, and the fact that subway is attached makes this the perfect place to stop on your way.
