Resetting Windows Photo Viewer

For those of you who liked Windows Photo Viewer and bought Windows 10, you were more then likely sadly disappointed with their slower clunky replacement that glitches often.

In some cases, it won’t open at all, leaving you with two options:

Option 1: Reset Photo Viewer

or

Option 2: Revert back to the old Photo Viewer!

Click the options above to be taken off-site to view detailed directions for each method I dug up while researching the problem.

Medium prices, with specials every night! Personally, I find their steak sandwich to be more a crouton and steak sandwich, but the quality of the meat almost made up for it. Their beef dip is delicious and french fries tasty! Definitely a hot-spot to hit up for a night out! My friend is lactose intolerant to cheese only, and the kitchen staff were quite gracious in making her a salad perfect for her! And while our lovely waitress was brand new, she did an IMPECCABLE job. Koodos! And while we didn’t stick around for it, trivia night on Mondays looks like a whole lot of fun!

An amazing view, a gorgeous fountain, seating areas and pathways to small shops and eateries on the sides make this a tourist’s dream! If you’re lucky, you may even see some aquatic wildlife! Located next to the Vancouver convention center, this location is prime for Cos-players and photographers during the Vancouver cons/expos.

Ill-gotten Emails – MoltenFray

Fair warning to all you scammers and spammers out there – You don’t want to email me unless you want to be blown WIDE OPEN. All spams, scams and marketing schemes sent to me are researched and detailed within this blog.

My latest frustration lies with my personal work email, which while it is for a public company, the email lists are private. They can be easily guessed however, if one was to use my Linkedin Profile, using my name and place of employment. This appears to be the newest marketing scheme in an effort to get people to buy into their training, and while these emails looks ‘legit’ the ill-gotten means by which they retrieved my email is unacceptable.

First off, if you come across a major company, you don’t message a random person within the company, you go to the head of the departments. So, after getting the second email, I decided to reply via my own personal email as I don’t risk my company being exposed to spam and scams.

Please stop sending emails to *****@***.com/ca. I shouldn’t have to REMOVE myself from a set of emails you wrongly got my email address from.

I have reported you as spam, as you should have never ever ever found this email, as it’s not posted to any external site, so you either have a staff directory that you’re just testing emails, or have somehow got your hands on our email lists.

I find this to be extremely frustrating, annoying and mildly scary, let alone bad business practice!

Fair warning, depending on your response, I will be making a blog post about how your company disregards privacy, sending out automated emails wanting information.

Please think about your business model and consider contacting the head of this company, whose information is SUPER easy to find online without testing random emails.

First off, I’ve NEVER communicated with them, this generic lie seems to be printed more and more on many automated emails. He then proceeded to try and solidify this lie that I was a ‘previous client’.

Once again, I’d like to point out that I don’t communicate with people outside of the company with that email address, so the only way this address could have been discovered was by ill-gotten means. So I responded back, letting him know this.

(My Reply) – Feb 5, 2019, 10:19 AM (2 days ago)

Once again, that email address is a private company email, and should have NEVER been used. Not sure where you got it from, but you should probably check that these were gotten legally.

In conclusion, I hope bringing forward this information will help keep my friends and family safe, and once again a fair warning to all you spammers scammers and underhanded marketers, don’t send me your junk.

Growing up in upper Rutland, you’ll remember this to be a strip of half filled shops, yet it held some of the only excitement for those in this location. The library, RBC, and Save on Foods are remnants of a time long gone, the TD and Pizza Hut now wiping out the memory of the long gone Blockbuster.

The Humans

My dad brought home a Windows 3.1 back in the early 2000’s, and it had this game, “The Humans”.

He managed to get his hands on the key codes required to access the game, however we always got stuck on level 4, there was some button we could never figure out as the game was just on this old hard drive, and we didn’t have the manual.

Now, almost 20 years later, I’d like to finish what I started!

P.S. Does anyone else think the middle guy dancing in the level intros looks like a pterodactyl durping about?

When I said hello, they immediately hung up, red flag 1.

When I called them back on POPTOX I got this message:

“Thank you for returning our call regarding your property. To speak to a representative press 1, to be removed from the mailing list press 9.”

I pressed 1, it immediately replayed the message. I pressed 1 again, it repeated it, then when I pressed it a third time it hung up. Red Flag 2.

I used Z-reverse look-up, and supposedly this number is not in service, Red flag 3.

Then this number phoned me back and wouldn’t hang up, no noise in the background at all, so I hung up to avoid any charges or data capture they were trying to achieve. Red Flag 4.

Be safe friends!!

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine

Another game dear to my heart that shaped many memories in my childhood was Indiana Jones – And the Infernal Machine! My dad would make up silly words to the theme song waiting for it to load up, us waiting with anticipation for the map line to reach it’s destination with a satisfying ‘PLOINK!”

My sisters and I would stage and play make believe adventures, swinging and jumping our way across ‘lava’ (a long orange scarf), running from boulders, and dodging ‘darts’ and ‘icicles’.

This game was the first to adopt Tombraider’s engine, which put it ahead of all other games at the time, yet there were a few things that just didn’t make sense such as Indy’s ability to put whatever he felt like in his pockets, such as a life-size tiki, which caused much amusement through the years for my family, my sister even bringing me back a keychain tiki after visiting Hawaii!

Tiki that would ‘actually fit in my pocket!’

Then there is his disappearing hat…every-time he’d jump in the water, his hat would disappear only to reappear after he had pulled himself out of the water, pulling it out of his pocket and re-positioning it back on his head.

I’ve spent many years scrounging old computers to build one strong enough to take on the program and recording software,  as this game was also one of the first to introduce fully 3D environments, and while many have tried to get it running on 64 bit computers, it was too old and had to be run on a system that still had 16 bit

I had a particularly nasty migraine hit me yesterday, and spent all day asleep. When I got up this afternoon, I had ‘beware the ice’ run through my brain once again, and it got me thinking, what was the 4th monster?? I could name ice, fire and mechanical, but couldn’t figure out if the Atherium, was the last monster…so I searched online and it came up for sale on STEAM! Apparently it was re-released in October of last year, which makes me so excited, funny thing is, is exactly 2 years ago today I started my search!

I ran around the house screaming with excitement, trying to make sure my computer wasn’t playing tricks on me, finally got my gaming computer up and running and purchased it straight away! Then responsibility hit and I ended up doing chores for a few hours – but I plan on spending sometime this evening playing!
