There are things known as the 10 Suggestion Commandments. Many know the obvious, such as, “Thou shalt search before typing thy post,” or, “Thou shalt not be vague,” but one that not many know is, “Thou shalt organize thy post.” – More people need to know of this commandment.
Many fond memories of this place. The playground always had the largest swings in the valley, when I first swung on them, they had wooden logs behind them, however, the logs were soon removed due to safety reasons. Sadly, almost 20 years later, the swings have also been removed…
The playground was fairly small when I was a kid, but one of the largest in Kelowna till Ben Lee was built. They upgraded the playground about 15 years ago, an amazing playground, sturdy and no splinters. They also made additions about 5 years ago, however while I enjoy climbing their newest addition, I’m not fond of the ropes themselves, as the plastic chosen has shown to not weather well and really is uncomfortable to climb. Also, really loving the bouncy rubber matting, however, not a fan of wood chips, as it’s uncomfortable sure to scrape landing.
There are many trails to go hiking or biking in, even ground for calmer walks, and steeper trails for the more adventurous. My father taught me much about plant foliage wandering around this park. They introduced a Gazebo like structure and a Center you can go to learn more about the wildlife there, extremely educational! Learn how the the land locked Kokanee salmon make their annual spawning run along the Mission Creek and much much more!
When sourcing your orange peels, be aware that they pick up pesticides! After hearing about major tea companies crafting teas with unacceptable pesticide levels, and orange peko being the top, I delved into to check if there is any way to retain the flavor while eliminating the chemical – No verified safe methods have been found.
If you still choose to use orange peel in your tea, it is suggested to use ‘organic’, however, organic is just a title, and the source should be researched.
As I do grow a lot of my own tea ingredients, someday I see myself growing a little orange tree, but for now, I’ll be limiting the amount of teas I make with this item, as it’s hard to source safely.
It’s Tax Time! – Be sure to update/verify your direct deposit info!
What happens if it’s not correct? Well it will try to deposit into your old account, then once it bounces back, the CRA will wipe your old Direct Deposit info from the their website, however, there is no indication from the CRA that the deposit has failed.
How do you know all this? Well, I tried updating it last year, but it appears not to have held. I had submitted my taxes as normal, using Genutax, and was promptly told a deposit date. The date goes by – nothing. I know sometimes there’s a delay, but by day 3, I started to get worried. I called the CRA, who advised me of the situation, updated my information, but this now adds an extra 10-15 days before I see the deposit.
Humans have this things stuck in our heads that if we can hold the world still, nothing will change. Wrong – the world has been changing under our feet since the first recorded map.
I first ran across these maps when researching the ‘Mud flood‘ from an offhand reference in an piece of old world history. Now a lot of these maps are used by flat-earthers to prove the earth is flat, so many scoffed at my ‘discoveries’, but just as flat-earthers cling to the unexplained in an effort to prove their theories, I push to find the truth behind our old world information and artifacts.
Now you may say ‘Well they didn’t have the tools to make proper maps back then’. I’d like to point out many of our map tools that are used today were originally created by these artists, and I wish we’d give our ancestors more credit then we do. I hope the evidence produced within this year will be enough to push people into realizing that the world around us isn’t permanent, and we need to be ready to accept change.
What evidence Sarah? Why should this even be a concern? Well, the Poles are moving, Canada will have to say goodbye to the North Pole as the long standing tug of war between Siberia and Canada comes to an end.
This alarming evidence proves that we have less control over ‘climate change’ then we ever thought. The world is on a cycle, we’re along for the ride, and if we think that we are anything more or less, we really need to take a long look at the big picture.
I visit this place occasionally for a quick lunch, so when one of our group suggested pizza by the slice, as a ‘slice’ is basically a quarter of a pizza! It is also one of the few places that makes a BBQ chicken pizza I enjoy.
I didn’t realize that there is actually a fair amount of seating tucked into the side of the bar, nor was I expecting comedy night , and as we were decked out in RWBY cosplay, quickly became the object of a few comedian’s sets. This place truly is a unique gem, with fair prices and free entertainment!
I briefly worked for Loblaws, only to realize that they cared little if not at all for the workers stocking your groceries. (Read my experience here)
This morning, I was shocked to learn that the Federal government is giving them 12 mil – FOR FRIDGES!
For a company that reported a 18.5 billion gross last year, plus an extra 12 mill from the government just for fridges, Loblaws MUST reconsider their wages.
