Having been in this town for many years, I’ve watched this mall swallow up the space Wal-Mart Left, putting in a food court, and later a Sport Chek, Timmies, EB Games & Best Buy, and now expanding once again. They really concern themselves with making it into a hub for people to chill, relax, and do some therapy shopping!! There are also seasonal shops which pop up in the middle of the other shops, check them out during the holidays for favorites such as the Log Barn!
It’s always fairly clean for the amount of traffic that goes through. This location also makes an excellent place to have a wind friendly walk in the early hours, (as later hours do get crowded) for those who don’t wish to be stuck to a treadmill.
HI I’m Raven, I just got back from Random Acts of Costuming, where we cheered up some kids and some people, I put on my best smile, and now without any further ado, here is SarahTonin’s Exploration Update for the Month of September. Teen Titans GO!
Didn’t go many places, but we did make some delicious shish
kabobs and had a corn feast, which if you see there, I’ve taken two slices of tomato
and slathered them on the corn. (This to be done after normal condiments
applied, butter, salt and pepper) That’s how you do it RIGHT!
Saw this spectacular sunrise, peeking out from behind a fire
Snapped a few shots of this excellent sunset on the way back
Went camping, made some camp food! Yes, Omelets ARE camp
And I thought I’d end it on a funny note. Why can’t you
Trust an Artist? Because….They’re Shady! They’re Sketchy! AND they might try
to Frame you! Have a great week guys and hopefully I’ll explore way more things this month however as
the winter months set in, I tend to bunker down and hibernate…and wait for
the cold to go away! So you may see me venture out, once in a while, but expect
to see more updates in regards to Tutorials, and other such likes! Stay Tuned!
IPE Fairgrounds, 3010 Wood Avenue – IPE Main Office, 3371 Pleasant Valley Rd, Armstrong, BC V0E 1B0
This used to be the place to go, however large crowds make the end of the day a nightmare, and prices going up for both the ticket and the ride passes make this location just another money grab. Sad to see this event go the way of so many others. May as well save your money and enjoy yourself at the Salmon Arm Fair.
Just spent 5 minutes on hold, pressed 1 to speak to a print associate, only to have them return me to the main menu. I tried again, this time dialing 2, and an associate picked it up, put it on the desk, I tried calling out to the employee for a good 2 minutes before hanging up and trying again. I eventually hung-up, called back, only to have the phone picked up and hung up. I have tried 5 times since this, however, every-time the hold time is up, it returns me to the main menu. Menu option 1 still has a dial tone, meaning option 2’s phone is still sitting on the desk. This is terrible customer service, coupled with a horrible phone system.
After being unable to get through after 20 minutes, I phoned head office, as I see this is a pattern and is completely unacceptable.
Head office not only listened, told me how they are going to follow back up with an action plan, but also offered me a coupon in regards to the item I’d been trying to call them about to ask. Head office gets 5 stars, this location still gets 1.
We’ll have to come back to/ callback this location in a few months and see if promised improvements are made!)
This place is incredible! Once a month, they hold a pizza draw online, and when you win, you get LOADED with pizza!!! Our office of 20 was easily fed by the amount, their pizza was delectable and their wings not soggy! I feel this place makes their product for the right reasons, and I hope their quality and care will continue!
Mile 7, Pike Mountain Forest Service Road, Thompson-Nicola N, BC
Majestic views all day long, however, be prepared to layer up and layer down as fluctuations in weather temperatures is a frequent normality. Also, prepare your knees for the hike between stages, however, the discomfort is well worth the reward. A peaceful, tranquil, magical, relaxing, soothing space that will leave your soul rejuvenated.
Growing up in Rutland, the most exciting thing around was Value Village and the few pretend dollar stores that popped up and went out of business in the IGA strip mall. (You know the ones, most items range from 5-20 dollars, rarely having any items lower then a Toonie) This location will see lots of business as the location is one of the most spacious in Kelowna, and while it appears they are still working on getting the perfect team together, it was organized & clean.
