Artists & Vendors I Met at the Penti-Con 2019

I love meeting people at these events because they are so excited about what they have to share that it gets me excited TOO! I’m also pretty broke when I go to these things, and end up having to buy anything I wanted after the fact, so I always walk out with a little stack of business cards and a plan! What should I do with all these business cards?? I know! Let’s share these talented people with you! 🙂 You’re welcome!

The SHire of Danescombe

Featuring skills and trades such Archery – Armour- Armoured – Combat – Bardic – Calligraphy – Costuming – Cooking – Dance – Embroidery – Glass work – Heraldry – Leather working – Painting – Pewter casting – Rapier – Singing – Spinning – Textiles & Weaving!

Arlane Kamps

This lovely lady paints with oil paint – a real feat if you know anything about painting! Her business card has been sitting on my desk the last few weeks, which illustrates a young women with babies breath in her hair and a tattoo of a buttercup and a daisy on her face. This of itself is breath-taking, but if you stair into the eyes too long, you will become drawn in and never want to leave! Incredible work!

Meta Dragon Art

A Freelance Artist, Tyler Florence has a passion and eye for art. Each one of his business cards sports personal artwork, as he wanted to give everyone who may have not been able to buy a piece of art something to take home with them 🙂 I finally was able to purchase that adorable Ruby art piece I have my eyes on!!!!! It now hangs where I get to stare at it every day 🙂

Sweetnam’s Nik Naks

I also ‘helped out’ my buddy’s, (and by help, I mean attracted attention to their booth) who were visiting all the way from Barriere at Sweetnam’s Nik Naks, a store they run with their dad Daniel, awesome guy! They are the other two original RWBY group starters here in the Okanagan 🙂

And last but not least….

Paul Mcgillion

Stargate Atlantis Actor, more currently known for his role in the Flash, was one of the special guests there. A down to earth man who wants to give the normal human an experience to remember! His panel was incredible, I’ve recorded the whole thing, a couple of amazing stories on that one, so expect some of that in the near future! 😉

After his panel was over, I swapped from Ruby to Glynda in the bathroom. As I’m dressing however, the P.A. announced that Paul was heading over to the Stargate for pictures! So I rushed to change, however, the clasp malfunction I had forgotten about happened and I had to dash back out to the car before heading to the Stargate, sadly not seeing him there….But he was JUST Walking away! I said hey how’s it going! He said, hello? I said, I’m the girl who made you cry! He was like WOW you’ve CHANGED! I laughed soooo hard, then we got to jump through the Stargate together, the patience he had with my shitty camera was extremely appreciated!

Till next time! Peace Out – SarahTonin!
