I’m putting on the spotlight this week my incredibly multi-talented friend Joe!!!
Now this isn’t your normal everyday average Joe, this Joe is Joe EVERYMAN – EVERYDAY! IMO, Joe is a model for every man, everyday, who faithfully has been true to himself and his passions, mentors the younger generation of nerds and geeks around him, and faithfully supports his fellow creators!
I first ran into this talented Artist when I went to my first official con, the KFX about 5 years ago, (I believe it was their first ever one), and have bumped into him several times since. However, I didn’t get to know how truly awesome he was until we participated together in the Vernon Winter parade in early 2020! Him and his awesome sauce wife put on their stellar costumes and paraded around with us putting smiles on many a face! He then proceeded to take my card and like my streaming profile, and has been putting smiles on my face on a regular basis, supporting my work and encouraging me to do more!! He is my first Twitch subscriber and Patron, and I thank him for it as much as I can!!!!
He has promised to start streaming sometime next year, and I look forward to watching and assisting his platform growth!!

(The featured image in this post is a drawing in his perspective as what he looks like!)
I first fell in love with Raven while watching Teen Titans in the mid 2000’s. The sadness within her soul stems from a knowledge of what is yet to come, echoes forward into her dark, rude, yet kind persona, and when it comes the time for her to fulfil what is said to be her destiny, she chooses her friends and forges a new path ahead.
5 years ago, I made the Raven cosplay you see regularly in my collection, not from the comfort of my own home but from an apartment I had to stay in due to circumstances beyond my control. This didn’t stop me from completing my goal, and this costume has allowed me to bring laughter and smiles to many!!
I’m so happy when people who truly love her see this cosplay!! I know she’s become more popular due to the newer cartoon and live series (which I haven’t seen, I feel any trailers I’ve seen don’t do the titans justice) but I chose her long before she was known, because she was unknown. I also I feel connected to her past, making her one of the characters I attribute as part of my personality, which makes me feel truly like her when I’m cosplaying! (However, some days, I fall to being more like her ‘white’ self! Maybe one of these days that outfit will make an appearance….)
I’m putting on the spotlight this week my incredible film maker & cosplayer friend Unproductiveworkshop!!! I first met him at Anime Revolution 2019, he was dressed as Izuku Midoriya, a bundle of fun, energy and smiles!
When I first met the RAOC group at the Kelowna Fan Expo (ie KFX), I never expected I’d become a part of something so wonderful! However, as I got to know them, I found out that Cap and his dad Mr. Incredible always had a goal in mind – to spread random happiness, hope and cheer to those in need. So I answered the call and joined his band of mismatched heroes, villains, puppets and princesses, our troupe ever growing!
One of the most memorable occasions for me was our walk through the mall for last year’s Halloween (2019) with Ursula and Batman, spreading smiles and holiday cheer!
As we were heading out, we picked up Spiderman, who became ever faithful in our efforts to ensure our mission was achieved.
Our continued visits caught the attention of Castanet, which interviewed us on our second to last visit before COVID hit.
This group has touched my life and I know many many others, and I do hope sometime in the near future we can meet again to spread love, cheer and hope to those in need.
I’m putting on the spotlight this week SPID…—I mean IHopegood!
IHopegood is an emerging rap artist, who also dabbles in mixing. He does charity streams, creative youtube content, and has just released his new album ‘Redemption in a New Reality’. His videos include but are not limited to gameplays, skits, covers, reactions, vlogs, rants, reviews & commentaries.
Step 1 – Question their name Step 2 – Accuse them of being evil Step 3 – Accuse them of being an Alien SPY! Step 4 – Strangle them Step 5 – When they face you with the truth, shrug it off like nothing ever happened!
I do not own any of the above material, this is all BBC, but I do hope you find it as humorous as I have through the years! Anytime someone says their name is Perry, I think of this clip!
Speaking of ‘Perry’ Check out my awesome friends at CHIBIS Anime!!!
I have hopped on this one as soon as I got a message, I got this message below from a trusted friend on Facebook saying ‘Zipper emoji I think you appear in this video look at it, Im really impressed Zipper emojiconfirms? which if clicked on takes you to a site which hacks your data and sends out the same message to all your friends.
Ok as I’ve said before:
First off – if I ever ‘send’ you something that has misspelling in it or improperly capitalized, and I don’t correct myself right away… it’s probably not me…I’d be rather dead then sending out horrifying spelling such as the above!
Second off – if I send you something that has a security certificate warning when you click into the browser and I don’t immediately explain myself (this is a rare occurrence, and more then likely we would be already working together in regards to me fixing your computer) it’s more then likely a scam, and I welcome you to question me on it!!!
Thirdly – (Please don’t take offense but) NEVER click past your browser security unless you know what you’re doing, this will prevent much unneeded headache for you and your friends.
