McDonald’s

2120 Harvey Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6G8

The last time I was at this location the fries were greasy and saltless, but I gave it another chance as this location had always been good, even at 2 in the morning! Ordered a large fries and three cheeseburgers, fries came out hot and perfectly salted, cheeseburgers were warm and sauce was evenly spread. However, if you’re gonna have an ‘Any Lane Anytime’ sign, and you’re gonna crate off one lane, maybe turn it off?

A&W Canada

1192 Stevens Rd, West Kelowna, BC V1Z 2S8

Chipper cheery staff, however the food was horrible. I’m not sure what they’ve mixed into their onions on the buddy burger, but it looked like celery and when eaten, the texture felt like chewing on a dried stalk of buck choy or dried corn stalk.

Kelly O’Bryan’s Neighborhood Restaurant

262 Bernard Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6N4

Sadly however, the quality of the food seems to be declining, room temperature fries are graced with plastic cheese, a bare sprinkling of onions, and the portions have lost at least 6 large waffle fries. Staff are still friendly, however they seem overwhelmed.

Tonics Pub & Grill

★★★★★

Medium prices, with specials every night! Personally, I find their steak sandwich to be more a crouton and steak sandwich, but the quality of the meat almost made up for it. Their beef dip is delicious and french fries tasty! Definitely a hot-spot to hit up for a night out! My friend is lactose intolerant to cheese only, and the kitchen staff were quite gracious in making her a salad perfect for her! And while our lovely waitress was brand new, she did an IMPECCABLE job. Koodos! And while we didn’t stick around for it, trivia night on Mondays looks like a whole lot of fun!

The Keg Steakhouse & Bar

Step into a homey lit parlor with a contemporary feel, sporting designer sound control seating allowing for a private night out. Elegant respectful service along with amazing food makes this an experience to be looked forward to. Prices match service and quality, while portions on a medium size, the taste of each bite making you want to savor it instead of scarfing it down. Meat was cooked to perfection for both me and my partner, even though the way we requested it was on opposite ends of the spectrum. Well done!

PS…(I had mine rare ;-))

Kelly O’Bryan’s Neighborhood Restaurant

262 Bernard Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6N4

Last year, we froze sitting on top of the Kelly O’s patio, this year, we were toasty warm while still enjoying a beautiful ambiance. The server was admirably gracious in turning down our request to move tables around, explaining that they’ve tried it multiple times, explaining it doesn’t provide any more space. Props for diplomacy!

Walmart Westbank Supercentre

2170 Louie Dr, Westbank, BC V4T 1Y2

The first Supercentre in the Okanagan, this became an integral part of West-bank (now West Kelowna) commerce. Since it’s opening day, this location has managed to keep this store looking brand new, with clean aisles well organized with a variety of goods.
