So you’re doing google searching, and find an item you really like! But it’s on WISH or another like-minded site and you don’t have an account because why would you when they buy and up-sell stuff and charge you shipping they never had to pay from other wholesalers! So what do you do to make sure you’re buying from the right person?
A lot of these sites have their images unable to be right-click downloaded. I’m going to show you what they do to get these images off the original sites, as well as show you how to cross reference these images using Google Reverse Search.
Option A: Download Greenshot. This free for download screenshot program allows you the versatility to select the portion you wish to screenshot. Select only the portion you wish to search with.
Option B: If you didn’t download Greenshot, press PrtScn (Print Screen) on your keyboard. Open paint, and past into the blank page. Crop the item to get rid of anything not part of the original image.
Save it, then either drag and drop it or open the image in Google Images to get your cross-reference results.
Now you may say ‘Sarah, come on, that’s SO MUCH WORK!!!’ But hey, if this was your design, wouldn’t you want to get credit for it? Let’s break the chain of designer theft!
Happy Hunting!
