JOE – Everyman, Everyday

I’m putting on the spotlight this week my incredibly multi-talented friend Joe!!!

Now this isn’t your normal everyday average Joe, this Joe is Joe EVERYMAN – EVERYDAY! IMO, Joe is a model for every man, everyday, who faithfully has been true to himself and his passions, mentors the younger generation of nerds and geeks around him, and faithfully supports his fellow creators!

I first ran into this talented Artist when I went to my first official con, the KFX about 5 years ago, (I believe it was their first ever one), and have bumped into him several times since. However, I didn’t get to know how truly awesome he was until we participated together in the Vernon Winter parade in early 2020! Him and his awesome sauce wife put on their stellar costumes and paraded around with us putting smiles on many a face! He then proceeded to take my card and like my streaming profile, and has been putting smiles on my face on a regular basis, supporting my work and encouraging me to do more!! He is my first Twitch subscriber and Patron, and I thank him for it as much as I can!!!!

He has promised to start streaming sometime next year, and I look forward to watching and assisting his platform growth!!

RAOC – Random Acts of Costuming

When I first met the RAOC group at the Kelowna Fan Expo (ie KFX), I never expected I’d become a part of something so wonderful! However, as I got to know them, I found out that Cap and his dad Mr. Incredible always had a goal in mind – to spread random happiness, hope and cheer to those in need. So I answered the call and joined his band of mismatched heroes, villains, puppets and princesses, our troupe ever growing!

One of the most memorable occasions for me was our walk through the mall for last year’s Halloween (2019) with Ursula and Batman, spreading smiles and holiday cheer!

As we were heading out, we picked up Spiderman, who became ever faithful in our efforts to ensure our mission was achieved.

Our continued visits caught the attention of Castanet, which interviewed us on our second to last visit before COVID hit.

Cap’s Heart is Revealed in this Video

This group has touched my life and I know many many others, and I do hope sometime in the near future we can meet again to spread love, cheer and hope to those in need.
