Anxiety and excitement are the same autonomous body response – the only difference is what it is you are feeling.

I was talking with a dear friend in regards to anxiety in starting a new job, and she responded with the above comment, to which I immediately said ‘HOLD THAT!’ pulled out my phone, asked her to repeat it, and wrote it down!
She then went on to explain a bit more, how it truly is mind over matter in this case, and how you can turn the anxious/nervous jitters of the day into EXCITEMENT – a power that can be used to tackle projects instead of create more problems in our minds!
I did a bit of research when I got home, and while I can’t find a dedicated Science Article besides a study Harvard completed, the general consensus is that this is true. That, coupled with my own life experience of being excited when according to most I should be feeling anxious, I feel that this is an amazing trick that truly allows one to move forward when you might otherwise be feeling helpless!
