As I step into this new year, I feel my effort can be better spent by using InstaGram’s built in features of Stories. Starting today, you’ll start seeing updates of where I’m at and what I’m doing, a quicker way of keeping you in the know, and an easier way for me to keep track of where I’ve been!
Any helpful feedback is greatly appreciated as I embark on this new adventure, one that has encouraged me to get out more and show off my beautiful town, and hopefully, maybe someday, the world!
Alrighty! September 2019 Exploration Update with SarahTonin
Special Guest Star – Raven from Teen Titans! (Lucky to snag her before she headed off back to her room!)
HI I’m Raven, I just got back from Random Acts of Costuming, where we cheered up some kids and some people, I put on my best smile, and now without any further ado, here is SarahTonin’s Exploration Update for the Month of September. Teen Titans GO!
Didn’t go many places, but we did make some delicious shish
kabobs and had a corn feast, which if you see there, I’ve taken two slices of tomato
and slathered them on the corn. (This to be done after normal condiments
applied, butter, salt and pepper) That’s how you do it RIGHT!
Saw this spectacular sunrise, peeking out from behind a fire
hydrant.
Snapped a few shots of this excellent sunset on the way back
from Vernon
Went camping, made some camp food! Yes, Omelets ARE camp
food.
And I thought I’d end it on a funny note. Why can’t you

to Frame you! Have a great week guys and hopefully I’ll explore way more things this month however as
the winter months set in, I tend to bunker down and hibernate…and wait for
the cold to go away! So you may see me venture out, once in a while, but expect
to see more updates in regards to Tutorials, and other such likes! Stay Tuned!

Majestic views all day long, however, be prepared to layer up and layer down as fluctuations in weather temperatures is a frequent normality. Also, prepare your knees for the hike between stages, however, the discomfort is well worth the reward. A peaceful, tranquil, magical, relaxing, soothing space that will leave your soul rejuvenated.
Some of my earliest memories of Kelowna are of this very park. My memere (French Grandmother) took me downtown when I was 2, where we wandered through this park feeding birds. In 1997, a wind/hail storm blew through Kelowna, knocking over a bunch of trees in this park. You’ll note the ones that were replanted easily due to size variations, all towering and providing well needed shade on lazy hot summer days! A tribute to this was created by Peter Ryan, and is on display in City Park adjacent to the water park. A great place to take pictures, relax, play some volleyball or jump in the lake!
Okanagan’s $100 million Hailstorm – July 21, 1997. A destructive hail and wind storm ripped through the orchards of the Okanagan. It was the worst storm in memory with nearly 40% of the crop deemed unsuitable for fresh market. The rain and hail was accompanied by winds gusting to 100 km/h that capsized boats in the interior lakes, and caused power outages and traffic accidents.
