Tastes Like: A Dark Sour Patch kid
Ingredients:
- Cranberries * – 3 Tbsp
- Elderberry – 2 Tbsp
- Raspberry – 1/2 Tbsp
- Rhubarb – 2 Tbsp
- Sumac – 5 cups
- Burnt Apple * – 2 Tbsp
- Crab Apple ** – 3/4 of a cup
- Cherries – 3 Tbsp
- Sunflower stalks – 1 tsp
- Milk Thistle Fluff – 1 tsp
- Queen Anne’s Lace Flowers – 3 Tbsp
- Orange Peels (read caution here) * – 4 Tbsp
- Dandelion White Fluff – 3/4 of a cup
- Bull Thistle (Large Thistle) – 1/2 head
- Galium Aparine (Small Thistle) – 8 heads
Other Items Required:
- Mortar & Pestle
- Mixing Bowl
- Loose Leaf Tea Ball or French Press, etc
Preparation
- Gather Ingredients
- Using a mortar and pestle grind each ingredient then put in mixing bowl
- Mix thoroughly
- Test out! – For every cup of water, use half a tablespoon of tea mix
Ready in 15 minutes
Serves 20-40 people (Per batch)
Tips
When grinding ingredients, take care not to grind too fine as it will leave a layer of silt in the bottom of your tea cup.
Note: Orange Mint has been suggested as a substitute for Orange Peel, however I have yet to test this yet.
