Tastes Like: Christmas – in your mouth!
Ingredients:
- Dried apple – 1 Tbsp
- Burnt apple – 1 Tbsp
- Toasted apple 1 tsp
- Orange Peels (read caution here)– 2 tsp
- Elderberry dried whole berries – 1 Tbsp crushed
- Papaya seeds – 5 crushed
- Carrots shredded dried – 1 ½ Tbsp
- Cinnamon – 1 Tbsp
- Rose hips – 3
- Sumac – 2 Tbsp
- Galium Aparine (Small Thistle) – 1 (1 tsp)
- Catnip baby plant – 3
- Sunflower – 1/2 baby head with petals
- Lemon Balm – 1/2 Tbsp
- Foxtails – 1/2 tsp
- Echinacea– 1 tsp
- Dandelion Yellows – 1 Tbsp
- Cosmos– 1 Tbsp
- Calendula– 6 heads (1 Tbsp)
- Queen Anne’s Lace plant – 1 tsp
- Banana Slices – 6 – 1 Tbsp
Other Items Required:
- Mortar & Pestle
- Mixing Bowl
- Loose Leaf Tea Ball or French Press, etc
Preparation
- Gather Ingredients
- Using a mortar and pestle grind each ingredient then put in mixing bowl
- Mix thoroughly
- Test out! – For every cup of water, use half a tablespoon of tea mix
Ready in 15 minutes
Serves 10-13 people
Tips
When grinding ingredients, take care not to grind too fine as it will leave a layer of silt in the bottom of your tea cup.
Note: Orange Mint has been suggested as a substitute for Orange Peel, however I have yet to test this yet.
STORY
When I started making tea, I tried to recreate Bengal spice, but while doing this, I got sidetracked and started making teas for a bunch of my friends, based on their personality and favorite colors! This tea was hand crafted with love for my good friend and amazing cosplayer Latisa!
